The unacknowledged reality of Lebanon

“Lebanon ceased to exist as a fully independent Government -which was launched in 1943- on October 13, 1990 when the Syrian Army entered the Ministry of Defense in Yarze' and the Presidential Palace in Baabda. It grabbed the entire Lebanese state's national security archives, and since then no President or Army leadership were able to enter these two buildings without the approval of Damascus and Hezbollah".

"Every part of the political mechanism in the Lebanese Republic for 24 years has never escaped these two forces since. The Cedars Revolution was one short window to change this reality and it was failed. Without going back to the genesis of the defeat, and reverse it, little can be done”.
