Dr. Nassib Fawaz: Join LIBC Meeting in Beirut on August 13th

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Lebanese International Business Council - LIBC, Dr Nassib Fawaz, announced the following (from Michigan):

“To all Lebanese expatriates (outside and inside of Lebanon) and their friends:
August 2015 is a good month for Lebanese expatriates (immigrants) to visit Lebanon. This will benefit the country, support the families, and show that we care and that we want peace and security, and want a change in the political position to have an active Presidency, dynamic Prime Ministry, and effective members of Parliament. We want to be in Lebanon to show a positive image of the Lebanese Expatriates (immigrants) who live outside of the country and to show our love and admiration for our families and our towns, villages, and cities in our home country, Lebanon.

As the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Lebanese International Business Council (LIBC), I am calling for a mini conference on August 13th, 2015. The meeting will take place at 10 am, at the Monroe Hotel across the street from the Phoenicia. We will spend three or four hours together discussing how we can support Lebanon, getting to know one another, having a positive dialogue with each other, and hopefully engaging with government and/or non-government leaders during this gathering at the hotel or thereafter.

After the meeting we will all walk across the street and have lunch together at the Phoenicia Hotel; each person will pay for his or her lunch. Trip to South of Lebanon will cost $50 bus fare.
The next day (Friday, August 14th, 2015) we will have a motor coach (bus) that will transport anyone who wishes, from Beirut on a tour to the South of Lebanon. We will stop at SAIDA, we will stop at SOUR, and then stop at QANA, followed by lunch in TEBNINE. After lunch, we will drive to BINT JBEIL and then back to BEIRUT.
If we have enough attendees who would like to visit JEITA; then we will have lunch in JBEIL. We can arrange that for Saturday, August 15th, 2015.

The above programs depend on the number of people attending the mini conference as well as the number of people who want to visit the South of Lebanon, or Jeita, and Jbeil.
Details of the above program will follow in late July. We will then give you schedules and names of dignitaries and people attending the mini conference. We may even have the Chairman of a major bank or Central Bank, and a President of a major university attend to give us lectures about the banks, economy, and about the current positions of the Lebanese universities. Other ideas may also be considered. We will also have questions and answers from the attendees.

We all must attend this gathering, as it is an event that will satisfy every immigrant and Lebanese in a positive way. We are facing a lot of negative news these days, so let us show our positive views in August. Please confirm that you will attend by giving us your complete name, e-mail address, telephone numbers, etc.., for the country where you currently live as well as in Lebanon so we will be able to contact you.

Let us make a big event out of this simple idea; together, we can do this and succeed.
We are looking forward to your total cooperation”.
