Why are the Lebanese among the most successful cultural groups in the USA?
Lebanese Americans are among the most eight successful cultural groups in the USA...
Yale University researchers found out in a book called “Triple Package: How Three Unlikely Traits Explain the Rise and Fall of Cultural Groups in America” (by Amy Chua and Jed Rubenfeld) that the Lebanese Americans are among eight superior cultural groups in the United States.
The book (published in 2014) seeks to explain why certain cultural groups in America “do strikingly better than others in terms of wealth, position and other conventional measures of success.”
The writers argue that eight groups are exemplary in this regard: Cubans, East Asians, Indians, Jews, Lebanese, Mormons, Nigerians and Persians — because they share a set of “unlikely” cultural characteristics.
