بالوع بلعة - تنورين
في بلدة تنورين الفوقا في قضاء البترون، يتساقط شلال بالوع بلعة عن علو 255 متراً داخل كهفٍ شكّل مقصداً للسياح ومحبي المغامرة على مدى تاريخه.

The Ba'atara Pothole & Waterfall
The Ba'atara Pothole & Waterfall “ Balou3et Bal3a” is located in Tannourine municipality and one can reach it either from Tannourine el Fawqa or from Laqlouq that is midway between both. The pothole was first explored in 1952 by the French bio-speleologist Henri Coiffait and was fully mapped in the 1980s by the Spelie Club Du Liban.
The waterfall drops 255 meters into the Baatara Pothole that formed a cave since the Jurassic Limestone Era. Water from a nearby stream infiltrated and dissolved the rocks to form the stone bridges and cave over the pothole.
There is a whole
underground system of passages, which continue to evolve as the rock freezes
and thaws in winter. The cave is also known as the "Cave of the Three
Bridges "Three Bridges Chasm" (in French "Gouffre des Trois
Ponts".
These three natural
bridges are rising one above the other and overhanging a chasm descending into
Mount Lebanon. There was no barrier or any system of protection neither on the
mountains surrounding the Pothole nor inside the cave itself.
